Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years numerous variants on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling blackjack than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the dealer declares "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players attain 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes directly to the dealer. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, including an amount in accordance with the ante. If the bank has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The bank pays cash equal to your ante and fixed expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
